Missouri is in pretty good shape at corner.    There's plenty of experience, with returning 2-year starter Aarion Penton holding down one starting spot, and with a trio of experienced corners in competition for playing time behind Penton or as the starter at the opposite corner.

But this spring, it was red-shirt freshman T.J. Warren who emerged as the starter, and I expect he’ll be atop the Depth Chart heading into Fall Camp.   Warren won that promotion with his performance this spring.   He’s very good in bump-and-run man-to-man coverage, and he appears to me to be a superior talent and a tough, physical competitor.

Penton is one of the better corners Missouri's been able to put on the field, and he appears to be intent on making his senior season his best.  He has eyes on playing in the NFL, and he'd like to show the scouts that, like his former mentor, E.J. Gaines, he's draft-worthy.

There will be very good competition this fall for the other starting corner spot. Last season, the trio of Anthony Hines, Logan Cheadle, and John Gibson each saw considerable playing time.    As Missouri heads into Fall Camp, all three of these experienced corners are in the mix for playing time, and possibly for a starting job.

Cheadle came on last year, and Hines really came on quickly after he healed up from the foot injury with which he arrived last August.

This will be Gibson's last hurrah, and like many players heading into their senior year, he'll be looking to have his best season.

The Tigers have pretty good depth at corner for this season.   It's really a good situation for the Tigers to have several quality corners competing for those jobs.   That'll make everyone better.

Here's kind of what the Depth Chart might look like at the corner to begin Fall Camp.

2  T.J. Warren  5’11”  190  (RSF)
28 Logan Cheadle  5’10”  180  (J)
31 Finis Stribling  5’11”  180  (So)
12 Dominic Nelson  6’0”  185   (J)
Jerod Alton   5’10”  180  (F)

11 Aarion Penton  5’10”  190   (S)
5   John Gibson  6’0”  190  (S)
1  Anthony Hines   6’1”  190  (J)
21 Christian Holmes  6’1” 185  (F)

I think for a position like corner, it's useful to list the depth from top to bottom:
