As expected, following his Night at the ZOU camp experience and his subsequent receipt of a Missouri offer, 2017 dual-threat QB prospect Reyondous Estes  6’0”  173  East St. Louis (IL) has committed to Missouri.   Estes recently decommitted from Western Michigan, and then spoke with Coach Odom on Wednesday morning.

"I'm excited and thrilled,"   said Estes when reached by phone not long after his decision went public.  "Coach Odom said he was excited about it......................................  They were headed out to practice."

Estes went on to say that he'll speak with the rest of the Missouri coaches after the Missouri practice.   He also pointed out that his coaches at East St. Louis were very supportive of his decision.

"This was something that I've been waiting on,"   explained Estes.   "I talked to my high school coaches and my mom.   They were all in favor of it.   That was a big part of my situation.   They were all there with me."

Estes has been timed at 4.56 seconds in the 40-yard dash.   He is considered to be a dual-threat QB who can make all the throws.    He is especially effective on deeper throws.

"Coach Heupel wanted to see me throw in person,"   explained Estes.   "He wanted to make sure that I would be able to complete the deep out, and the comeback throws."

As has been thoroughly documented, the 2015 East St. Louis season was cut short due to a district-wide strike.    Estes was also injured in an auto accident, from which he tells me he is nearly fully recovered.

Estes pointed out that he has several former ESL teammates currently at Missouri.   He laughed when I asked him how much influence they had on his decision to come to Missouri?

"Of course,"   explained Estes.   "Those guys are all with me.   They've been letting me know that they wanted me there with them."

Estes went on to say that his recruitment is over.
